Renovating a whole house room by room is how you end up with a house that looks like six separate decisions. Done together, each room supports the next.
One scheme, one house
Floors that run through. A hardware and brassware language repeated so the house feels deliberate. A colour story that shifts room to room without ever fighting. The rooms can have very different characters as long as they were designed by the same hand.
Project management is most of the job
The design is the part people see. The part that decides whether the project is bearable is sequencing. Who is on site this week, what has to be decided by Friday for the joiner to start on Monday, which item has an eleven-week lead time and therefore has to be ordered now.
Kasia runs that. Not a builder who also does a bit of design, and not a designer who hands you a drawing and disappears.
Going away while it happens
Plenty of clients hand over the keys and go on holiday. It works because there is one person responsible, the decisions were made at design stage, and there is nobody on site waiting to be told what to do.
Budget, honestly
The budget conversation happens at the start, not when something has already been ordered. Where it is worth spending, where it genuinely is not, and what the contingency is for. A renovation with no contingency is not a budget, it is a wish.
Work like this
Nothing in that category yet. Call Kasia and ask, because there is usually more than is published.
She understood what I wanted before I could say it.
She somehow always understood exactly what I wanted. Really good with understanding the vibe.
Understood exactly what I wanted, even the things I could not quite put into words.
It freed me up to focus on other jobs while this one was getting organised by Kasia.
