The houses here
Traditional stone cottages and houses in and around the village, much of it within the conservation area, and very often with a steading, store or garage on the plot that is doing nothing useful.
What Kasia is usually asked to do
Converting what is already there rather than building something new. Alongside that, the unglamorous work that makes a solid stone house comfortable: insulation, heating, and making genuinely small rooms hold everything they need to.
Worth knowing
Solid stone walls behave nothing like cavity walls. Insulating them the wrong way traps moisture in the fabric, so the build-up has to be right before anyone talks about finishes.
How it works
The first step is a free 30-minute call. After that Kasia comes to the house, because the house is the brief. You get a full 3D design before anything is ordered, and one person managing every trade from then until you get the keys back.
